The Foundation Vicarie Sancti Nicolai is a late-medieval foundation that on a yearly basis provides allowances to students who emanate from the Van Basten Batenburg and Batenburg family.

Estate de Batenborgh is one of the oldest private estates in the province of Gelderland in the Netherlands and was founded in 1478. It is located in the ‘Achterhoek‘ between Winterswijk and Groenlo.
Owner of the estate is the late medieval Vicarie Sancti Nicolai Foundation of 27 October 1501. The aim of the Foundation is to preserve its cultural heritage and to provide on a yearly basis allowances to students.

The board and management are in the hands of members of the Van Basten Batenburg and Batenburg family.
